The position The General Manager plays a crucial role in obtaining and preserving market access for our product portfolio, while also identifying and addressing potential business challenges and market trends. Your leadership will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, promoting a culture of innovation, and managing changes effectively. You will join a team of over 80 dedicated colleagues who are passionate about making a difference in the healthcare industry. Our affiliate is responsible for overseeing significant sales and plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our organization. As a member of the leadership team, you will report to the Corporate Vice President, North West Europe Mid-Size, and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different departments and locations. Novo Nordisk’s affiliate in Norway is part of the Business Area North West Europe Mid-Size, which consists of Norway, Finland, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, and Luxembourg, employing 550 people across the 7 countries. The position is placed in Oslo, Norway. Qualifications We are looking for a General Manager who has an entrepreneurial mindset and frontline focus, who leads, inspire, and engage through role modelling and impactful communication, and prioritizes compliance & ethics. We like you to be bold & ambitious with a ‘can-do’ attitude, innovative, and good cultural understanding. You have a relevant university degree and at least 8 years of pharmaceutical management experience, leading functions such as sales, marketing, business development or finance with proven success. You are an ambitious leader and have a proven and successful record of building highly engaged teams and delivering results in an international environment. You are recognized for your strategic thinking and business acumen, and for your people skills and negotiation skills, with experience in interacting with and presenting to key customers and government officials. Experience and knowledge of the current dynamics of the Norwegian market and healthcare system is an asset. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
